The Brentwood Police Department is a Nationally Accredited Law Enforcement Agency through the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies Inc.

The Brentwood Police Department is seeking qualified applicants who are looking for a career in law enforcement. No previous law enforcement experience required.

• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Be a citizen of the United States
• Be a High School Graduate or possess an equivalency, plus sixty semester hours college credit; or
• 2 years military service with honorable discharge and 30 semester hours college credit; or
• 2 years law enforcement experience and 30 semester hours college credit.
• Must possess good moral character

Applicants must successfully complete the following evaluations:

• Written Examination
• Oral Interview
• Physical Ability Test
• Thorough Background Investigation
• Polygraph Examination
• Psychological Evaluation
• Complete Physical Examination

• Ten week Basic training – Tennessee Law Enforcement Training Academy
• Twenty week Field Training Program
• Specialized Training available to all employees
