The Cool Springs House is a very special setting for
weddings. The first floor is designed for receptions and small wedding
ceremonies. The second floor provides a changing room for the bride and
groom. A modern catering kitchen is available for the caterer of your
choice. The house has been restored to the architectural splendor of the
farm house's early days.
The house is open for event rental day or evening year
round excluding Easter, July 4th, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas
Eve and Day, and New Year's Eve and Day. Rental fees include the exclusive
use of the house and grounds. The Cool Springs House provides some tables
and chairs.
Guidelines
The Cool Springs House provides an elegant backdrop for both indoor and
outdoor ceremonies. A maximum of 125 persons (standing reception) is
allowed for inside events: a maximum of 250 persons is allowed for
inside/outside events where a tent is provided. A seated inside event will
have a capacity of 70-80 persons. Indoor ceremonies are limited to a small
group due to the layout of the house. Outdoor ceremonies are held on the
lawn or on the front porch.
The following guidelines apply:
- A changing room and restroom is available on
the second floor for the wedding party.
- Smoking is prohibited.
- Throwing rice, birdseed or confetti is
prohibited.
- Candles are not permitted inside the house.
The only exception would be the lighting of the unity candle if the
wedding ceremony is inside.
- Dancing is not permitted inside the house.
The patio is available for dancing.
- Beverage fountains for punch or champagne are
not allowed inside the house.
- All rental items including catering needs, must be
delivered and picked up during your rental times.
- The renter is responsible for setting up tables and
chairs and for returning these items to storage after use.
- Tents are allowed on the grounds in the back
or on either side of the house. Please inform the staff when planning to
use a tent. We will need to coordinate the tent placement, installation
and removal so as not to conflict with other events.

necessary for planning during our regular office hours.
Rehearsals
We are not always able to grant a specific time for a
wedding rehearsal. If the renter is flexible, there will be no charge for a
rehearsal; however if the renter requires a specific rehearsal time, the
house will need to be rented for the second day. We can tentatively
schedule a rehearsal when a ceremony is booked.
