In his role as Assistant City Manager, Mr. Bednar oversees the operations of the Brentwood Service Center, including the Engineering, Parks, Public Works, and Water and Sewer Departments, as well as the Human Resources and Technology Departments. Mr. Bednar is also responsible for development of the City’s six-year
Capital Improvements Program (CIP) and other special projects.

- Twenty-one (21) years experience in local government
- Assistant City Manager of Brentwood since September, 2000
- Municipal Management Consultant with University of Tennessee MTAS (1995-2000)
- Various positions with the City of Fort Worth, TX (1989-1995)
- Masters Degree in Public Affairs from Indiana University (1989)
- Bachelors Degree from Augustana College, IL (1987)
- Native of Streator, Illinois
- Member International City and County Management Association (ICMA)
- Member Tennessee City Management Association
- Member of Brentwood Morning Rotary Club
