Ongoing Construction: 

Johnson Chapel/Belle Rive/Granny White Pk. Area Water System Improvements Project:
The purpose of this project is to replace and upsize area water lines to improve both the quality and quantity of water delivered to the residents of Brentwood.  It includes installing water lines from the intersection of Murray Lane and Johnson Chapel Rd, along Fisher Ct, McClanahan Dr., Johnson Chapel Rd., Belle Rive Dr. and Granny White Pk., terminating at the intersection of Granny White Pk. and Murray Ln. (Project Update (October 24, 2014):
Contractor has installed all 15,000 feet feet of the primary water line.  Contractor is currently connecting new pipe to pipes serving the area neighborhoods.  paving is scheduled to begin in early November.  

Water Station Replacement Projects:
The purpose of this project is to replace and upsize two of the City's water pumping stations.  One located along Murray Lane, across the road from the entrance to Windstone Subdivision and the second at the intersection of Murray Lane and Johnson Chapel Road West.   
(Project Update (October 24, 2014):
The City has awarded a construction contract(s) to a project contractor and it is anticipated that the Murray Lane station work will begin early November, 2014.  The work on installing the second station at the intersection of Murray Lane and Johnson Chapel Rd. West, will begin in the spring and continue through summer 2015.        

Annual Water Line Replacement Project 2015 (currently woking in Stonehenge):
The purpose of this project is to replace aging water lines as part of the department's efforts to maintain the integrity of the City's water distribution system. The next phase will include replacement of aging 6 inch plastic pipe with new ductile iron pipe along Prince Phillip Cove, Albert Drive, and Ashby Drive.     
Project Update (October 10, 2014):
The next phase of the project has been designed and will be submitted to the State for approval in the coming weeks.  An anticipated construction start date is February, 2015.
