Ongoing Construction: 

Johnson Chapel/Belle Rive/Granny White Pk. Area Water System Improvements Project:
The purpose of this project is to replace and upsize area water lines to improve both the quality and quantity of water delivered to the residents of Brentwood.  It includes installing water lines from the intersection of Murray Lane and Johnson Chapel Rd, along Fisher Ct, McClanahan Dr., Johnson Chapel Rd., Belle Rive Dr. and Granny White Pk., terminating at the intersection of Granny White Pk. and Murray Ln. (Project Update (November 14, 2014):
Paving work is now complete.  The City will still need to stripe the road (centerline, shoulders, etc.).  Crews will continue to work at the intersection of Johnson Chapel and Murray Lane preparing to install the new water station in the Spring (see update below for this project).   

Water Station Replacement Projects:
The purpose of this project is to replace and upsize two of the City's water pumping stations.  One located along Murray Lane, across the road from the entrance to Windstone Subdivision and the second at the intersection of Murray Lane and Johnson Chapel Road West.   
(Project Update (November 14, 2014):
Work has begun on the replacement of the Murray Lane water station.  The site is busy with activity ahead of delivery of the new station which will be set underground via a large crane.  The work on installing the second station at the intersection of Murray Lane and Johnson Chapel Rd. West, will begin sometime this spring, 2015.        

Annual Water Line Replacement Project 2015 (currently working in Stonehenge):
The purpose of this project is to replace aging water lines as part of the department's efforts to maintain the integrity of the City's water distribution system. The next phase will include replacement of aging 6 inch plastic pipe with new ductile iron pipe along Prince Phillip Cove, Albert Drive, and Ashby Drive.     
Project Update (November 14, 2014):
The next phase of the project has been designed and approved by the State.  The City is in the process of discussing the project with the neighborhood association.  An anticipated construction start date is February, 2015.
