Mr. Bednar became City Manager on January 26, 2013. In his role as City Manager, Mr. Bednar oversees the day to day operations of the city and ensures that the policies and programs approved by the Board of Commissioners are implemented in an effective and efficient manner.
Kirk Bednar – Biographical Information:
- Twenty-three (23) years experience in local government
- City Manager of Brentwood since January, 2013
- Assistant City Manager of Brentwood from 2000 - 2013
- Municipal Management Consultant with University of Tennessee MTAS (1995-2000)
- Various positions with the City of Fort Worth, TX (1989-1995)
- Masters Degree in Public Affairs from Indiana University (1989)
- Bachelors Degree from Augustana College, IL (1987)
- Native of Streator, Illinois
- Member International City and County Management Association (ICMA)
- Member Tennessee City Management Association Executive Board
- Member and Past President of Brentwood Morning Rotary Club
