Husbands should come with an instruction guide and an owner’s manual plus a toll-free number for service and repair questions.

Baffled wives wonder…

How can he be so active and assertive at work and yet be so passive at home?

Why can’t he handle the slightest bit of advice or criticism?

He acts like he doesn’t need me so what does he want from me?

Why is he so defensive about getting help with our finances?

Does affection always have to lead to sex?

Why does he develop an allergic reaction to helping around the house?

Is he clueless about what I really want or is he just ignoring it?

Why does he give advice when I just want him to listen?

Should I really have to define & explain “romance”?

Why can’t he be a spiritual leader in our home?

Can he not just understand my feelings instead of refuting them?

Sometimes I’ll say “I just want to talk” and he’ll respond, “About what?” Am I then allowed to recommend a brain scan?

Offering professional and personal insight, laced with humor, therapist and author Ramon Presson offers reassurance to bewildered wives of aliens from outer space.
