Scholastic Chess Tournament

Brentwood library chess club

 

All ages and skill levels are welcome to enjoy this noncompetitive and fun atmosphere.  On-site chess coach teaches beginning fundamentals, as well as advanced strategies.  This is a wonderful opportunity to enhance your game, learn new skills, or just sit back and enjoy a nice social game of chess. Free of charge.  Boards will be provided.

No reservations necessary...just come and play!

6th ANNUAL BRENTWOOD LIBRARY SCHOLASTIC CHESS TOURNAMENT

Saturday, September 13

Registration: 8:30-9:00 a.m.

Tournament: 9:30-2:00 p.m.

Awards Ceremony: 2:15 p.m.

$5.00 entry fee

This is an unrated tournament and makes for a great “first” tournament experience as players will be instructed on complete tournament play before clock starts. It is also a great tournament for rated players who are looking for an opportunity for tournament practice before the rated season begins. The tournament will be divided into two divisions: Rated, and Unrated. Prizes: Bookstore gift cards for top three individuals in each division.
