The Periodical Reading Room provides a quiet reading area with a stone fireplace and comfortable reading chairs. With a panoramic view of the natural areas outside, it is a perfect place to spend a quiet hour.

 

Newspapers and Magazines

 

The Brentwood Library subscribes to more than 100 magazines and newspapers in print, with hundreds more accessible through Internet databases.

Looking for an article from the Tennessean? Try Newsbank, which starts coverage in January 1999. It also includes the Knoxville News Sentinel, the Memphis Commercial Appeal, and the Chattanooga Times-Free Press.

Looking for national newspapers? Look up citations in TEL's National Newspaper Index. Find full-text articles in  TEL's Custom Newspapers or Academic OneFile, but contact Reference Librarians if you can't access something you need. Interlibrary loan may be an option. The password for these databases is "elvis".
