The Crime Prevention/Community Services Division of the Brentwood Police Department is made up of Officers Samuel Bady and Mark Wood. Officers Bady and Wood have over 40 years of combined police experience. The Officers are certified D.A.R.E. instructors at the elementary, middle, and high school levels. The officers are also certified Crime Prevention Specialist’s and are certified in Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design (CPTED). Officer Wood is a R.A.D.(Rape Aggression Defense) Certified Instructor. 


Some of the services the Crime Prevention Division provides include:

Teaching all D.A.R.E (Drug Abuse Resistance Education) classes in all 12 area Brentwood public and private schools

Assist citizens with starting and maintaining Neighborhood Watch Programs

Conduct business and residential security surveys (View Video for Home Security Tips)


Speak to various community groups about crime prevention and personal safety

Conduct tours of the police department for various groups including Cub Scouts and pre-schools

Act as liaisons between the police department and schools

Coordinate and teach R.A.D. (Rape Aggression Defense) classes & radKIDS®
