Ongoing Construction: 

Johnson Chapel/Belle Rive/Granny White Pk. Area Water System Improvements Project:
The purpose of this project is to replace and upsize area water lines to improve both the quality and quantity of water delivered to the residents of Brentwood.  It includes installing water lines from the intersection of Murray Lane and Johnson Chapel Rd, along Fisher Ct, McClanahan Dr., Johnson Chapel Rd., Belle Rive Dr. and Granny White Pk., terminating at the intersection of Granny White Pk. and Murray Ln. (Project Update (March 25, 2014):
The City has awarded a construction contract(s) to a project contractor and work is anticipated to start March 31, 2014 and take approximately 9 months to complete the water line work, with final paving and miscellaneous work to be completed after that time period, weather dependent.  During this time, as is the case with all construction projects of this nature, there will be disruption to traffic flow in this area.  Residents can expect single lane closures during the construction period.  The City will limit the area to local traffic only during this time to help cut down on overall congestion.    

Annual Water Line Replacement Project (currently woking in Stonehenge):
The purpose of this project is to replace aging water lines as part of the department's efforts to maintain the integrity of the City's water distribution system. The project will include replacing 6 inch plastic pipe with new ductile iron pipe along Stoneleigh Circle, then northward along Ashby Drive and along Dorchester Circle.  
Project Update (April 7, 2014):
The water lines for Dorchester, parts of Ashby Dr. and Stone Leigh Cir. have been installed and placed into service.  The next phase which includes Victoria Cove, Prince Phillip Cove, Albert Dr. and Regents Dr. is anticipated to begin this summer With Surveying and design currently underway.
